N. ARTHUR

This is what started it all off! My first serious attempt at larger scale modelling, and after nearly thirty years away from the model railway scene.

The real issue for me was to build a working, reliable chassis. Using wheels from an old model of Dad’s, and Mecano parts from Dad’s junk boxes.
The body was a simple affair from Plasikard, with a few embellishments, Swift16 spectacle plates, chopper couplings and carriage door handles.

The loco worked far better than I had hoped for, and it put some serious mileage in, but following some reconstruction at Candlebridge, the locomotive’s skirt fowled the ground. It was stripped down for rebuilding, and is currently “out of service”!

It’s name come’s from my Dad.
