The fifth in our Sweetie range, released at the last Llanfair Show (September 2024), SHERBET draws inspiration from the Baguley McEwan Pratt ‘760’ 10HP Class based at the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway, Gelert's Farm.
Wikipedia Entry -
"Leonard Benhall designed a 10hp 0-4-0PM locomotive based on a 1914 design supplied to a mine in Japan. The new locomotive was water-cooled and had a large tank to carry the water. Over 50 locomotives of this new design were supplied to military railways during the conflict, though they were only a limited success, being too light for many duties.[1] These locomotives were sold under the Baguley name."
Supplied with a 3-6volt motor, nylon worm gears, Binnie Engineering 24mm wheels on 1/8" stainless steel axles, and all necessary metal stock, nuts, screws, etc. required to build the model in the photo.
There is ample room "under the hood" for batteries and RC should the customer desire.
Building instructions are included with the kit which is reasonably easy to construct and requires glue, paint, basic tools, and batteries to complete.
