Released at the Midlands Garden Railway Show (March 2024), and inspired by the Dinorwic Quarry Hunslet 1895 Mills Class VAENOL, later to become Jerry M.
Varsity is Boot Lane Works' first venture into outside framed models and comes complete with an “idiot-proof” method of quartering the outside cranks.
Peter Binnie wheels on stainless steel axles, brass bearings and a Boot Lane Works gearbox, Varsity is supplied with a 3/6 volt motor (and a second gearbox for those that wish to upgrade to a 12 volt MFA 385).

Comes with -
Laser-cut acrylic frames, cab, etc.
Filament printed frame stretchers, motion, boiler, etc.
Resin-printed detail parts.
And also included are all the metal stock, screws, bearings, etc. Everything necessary to build the model in the photograph.
 
Ample space in the boiler & tank enables the modeller to fit batteries & RC if desired (electronics not included).
Building instructions are included with the kit.
 
Although not for beginners, the kit is reasonably easy to construct and requires basic tools, glue, paint and batteries to complete.
